Although the rain is a welcome change, it has caused a slowdown in activity for the snakes due to the chilly overnight temperatures. As a result, they are mostly confined to their dens. However, some snakes have attempted to begin their springtime activities, which has led to clashes with human development. Our team has received numerous reports of such conflicts, but we have successfully relocated all of the snakes to appropriate microhabitats within their estimated homeranges.
